Level 3 Dance
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms A. Flaherty.
Students will explore a variety of dance disciplines. This is a performance-based course with a focus on creation and composition. Through collective and active participation, students will up-skill in a range of dance styles and refine their practical technique. This programme offers opportunities to teach peers, and also to perform within a variety of school contexts.
Recommended Prior Learning
Interest in the performing arts, and some experience of dance or performing.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Students must wear a complete change of active wear for practical sessions.
Pathway
This course leads into career pathways in the creative or performing arts, as well as any jobs that have an element of public speaking or presentation.

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
