Recommended Prior LearningReasonable success in Level 2 Business Studies including an external assessment, or reasonable success in Level 2 English or at the discretion of the HOD.
This course covers business formation, function and management of businesses that operate in the global environment. Important ideas are developed in the classroom and also through links with the local business community.
The internal assessments are all research and group based and cover marketing as well as setting up and running a small business through the Young Enterprise Scheme to (hopefully) make a profit.
This final year is a year for the entrepreneurs to have a low risk go at running their own business then using this as a springboard to something bigger and better or going to university to specialise.
