Online course selection for all 2025 students has closed.   Any changes to courses need to be made by contacting the appropriate year level Deans.

If changes have made to your subjects, in person, these won’t be shown here. The courses shown here and the ones that were originally selected. You will be able to view your 2025 courses via the KAMAR Portal in late January.

Due to high demand, some of our subjects are now fully subscribed and are no longer available, however, we will do our best to place students across the full range of subjects we offer.

Year 9 Subject Information

Year 9 students will have a programme which covers each of the eight Essential Learning Areas.

English, Maths, Physical Education & Health, Science, and Social Studies will be taught in form class groups for three hours per week. The Arts, Languages and Technology will be taught in option groups. This allows for subject choices within these Learning Areas.

The option subjects will be structured as follows:

• Students will choose one course that runs for two terms, and one course that runs for one term from Technology and The Arts (That is, two courses for The Arts and two courses for Technology).  
• Students will choose one language course that runs for two terms.
• All students will have one Literacy spell per week for the full year.
• In addition to these courses, there are some pathway selections available, to support students whose core literacy and/or numeracy needs additional work. (Literacy, Numeracy, ELIT). These can be discussed during the enrolment conversation.
