Subject Selection Advice

When considering a course of study, follow the formula:

Things to think about:

  • What are you interested in?
  • What are you good at?
  • What do you enjoy?
  • If you know what you want to do/study when you leave school - what subjects do they suggest?

If you do not know what you want to do in your future, do not worry, that is extremely common. Keep your options broad.

Some subjects have content that should be studied at a lower level before choosing them. Be aware of which subjects have this sort of content.

Who can you talk to for advice?

  • Your parents.
  • Your teachers.
  • Your Deans.
