Level 2 Business Studies
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms R. Price.
This course covers business formation, function and management of a large business. Important ideas are developed in the classroom and also through links with the local business community.
The internal assessments are all research based and cover market research and motivation, as well as setting up and running a small Social Enterprise business to sell or provide a service to the local community, these businesses should be funded and all proceed going to a charity or good a cause in Lower Hutt.
This is the second step in a pathway to taking a Commerce subject at university, plus the entrepreneurial skills to help students start their own business.
Recommended Prior Learning
Reasonable success in Year 11 Business Studies or reasonable success in Year 11 English or at the discretion of the HOD.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Approximately $35.00. This covers all 6 assessments internal and external. We are grateful to families making voluntary payments to assist with course specific costs.
