Level 2 Economics
Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Vythilingam
This is a very topical course, using current events to examine the following economic concepts: economic growth; inflation and trade. Students use economic models to gain an understanding of these issues, and the impacts of Government policies on various groups within society. The state of the overall economy will also be studied, through the use of macro models and economic indicators.
Recommended Prior Learning
Reasonable success in Level 1 Economics or comparable subject required, or with HOD approval.

Externally Assessed Credits: 18 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 6 credits.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
