Level 3 Physical Education

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr J. Keane.

The  course offers a flexible and diverse learning experience.

Assessments will be based on a range of Achievement and Unit Standards, based on individual needs and interests.

Throughout the year, students will be challenged to explore societal beliefs within Aotearoa and challenge assumptions around physical activity and well-being.

There is a strong practical element to the course, including a camp to the Tararua ranges. 

This subject offers opportunities to build skills in areas such as Leadership, Risk Analysis and Biophysical Principles.

Recommended Prior Learning

Reasonable success in Level 2 Physical Education or at the HOD’s discretion.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Approximately $120.00. HVHS PE uniform. We are grateful to families making voluntary payments to assist with course specific costs.
