Level 2 Economics
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Vythilingam.
This is a very topical course, students develop an understanding of the economy using current events. The topics covered in this macro-economic course include, economic growth, inflation, trade and impacts of government policies . Students will learn to use a range of economic models to gain an understanding of these issues, and the impacts of Government policies on various groups within society. Students will also develop an understanding of the state of the economy to make informed decisions on borrowing and investing, using of macro models and economic statistics. This course builds on the skills and concepts covered in the year 11 programme.
Recommended Prior Learning
Reasonable success in Level 1 Economics or comparable subject required, or with HOD approval.
