Teacher in Charge: Mr J. Norris.
This course will be taught out of a traditional hard materials workshop.
The course focuses on students learning hands-on hard materials projects with the additional use of CAD/CAM to enhance projects.
Students will follow a design process to meet a brief and then learn how to join materials like Pine, Plywood, and Acrylic to produce a physical outcome to meet this brief. Along the way, students may use CAD (Computer Aided Design) to produce a design/accessory for their product that could be laser cut or 3d printed components to add to their design.
Students will have the opportunity to work with a range of hard materials to produce these outcomes, demonstrating creativity and innovation and experiencing modern technology along the way.
