Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Thomas.
Design and Visual Communication is a course centred on drawing and design, focusing on themes that are both relevant and engaging for students. It guides students through the entire design process, from conceptualization and idea refinement to the formal presentation of design solutions through detailed drawings and 3D models.
Students develop their presentation skills and learn to make informed decisions through the evaluation of ideas. The projects in this course cover a wide range of topics, including freehand drawing, plane and solid geometry, 2D and 3D formal drawing, shading and colour rendering techniques, computer-aided design, physical model making, and the application of the design process.
This comprehensive approach ensures that students gain a thorough understanding of design principles and techniques, preparing them to effectively communicate their creative ideas.
