Level 3 English Language (Academic)

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Roper.

This class is for advanced English language learners who want to achieve the university entrance literacy requirements for New Zealand universities. Students also develop skills needed for university study. These skills include note-taking, research methods, paraphrasing and summarising, referencing and academic writing style.

Recommended Prior Learning

Placement test and/or at the discretion of the HOD. Students in this class should already have Level 1 Literacy. Most students have already taken 12ELAC.  It is possible to both 12ELAC and 13ELAC in the same year.
