Year 11 English through Exercise

Success, commitment, teamwork and perseverance are terms heavily linked with sport and Physical Education. Yet, from Moneyball to Shoe Dog, these ideas are also found in a number of books and films studied in English. The purpose of this course is to engage you in literature and literacy through Physical Education and Sport. The course will use sport as a context for learning to enhance your listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing, and presenting skills.

Students will complete one NCEA Level One Assessment in this course.
