can be studied at all year levels and is compulsory to Year 12. Students will
focus on the skills of reading and writing. It will involve the study of texts
such as novels, plays, films, non fiction, poems and short stories.
"English is the study, use and enjoyment of the English
language, communicating orally, visually, and in writing, for a range of
purposes and audiences and in a variety of text forms. Learning English
encompasses learning the language, learning through the language, and learning
about the language."
