Year 9 English

In year 9 English, students focus on developing their reading, writing, and presenting skills. They will read and study big ideas from novels, short stories, poems, and plays from New Zealand and around the world. They will hone their ability to write in different styles by producing creative and non-fiction pieces. Additionally, ākonga will learn grammar and language mechanics, as well as strategies for effective communication. Ultimately our goal is to equip students with the foundational skills and knowledge they need to be successful as they move through the kura.
