Year 9 Mixed Materials in the Creative Lab - One Term

This course will be taught in our creative lab (not a traditional hard materials workshop). 

The course focuses on students learning to work with soft and various mixed materials to make textile projects.

Students will learn computer software like Adobe Illustrator and Techsoft, which will enable them to create prints for fabric using our dye sublimation printer, cut out patterns or shapes on our laser cutter, and 3D print accessories like a custom-designed button for a textile project.

Students will learn the skill of pattern making and the use of a sewing machine in combination with computer software.
